Earth has always been the cradle and
maybe cemetery of civilizations and cultures. The objects and pieces which can
be found from earth, show the beliefs, life and more importantly the beauty of
the mind of people of past.
In
many cases we people who live
now are the consumers of the art of the past.
What have we got to say to the
people of next generations?
What is our heritage for them ?
Global warmness, pollution, wars and
crises across the world may terminate life of most of living creatures including
human beings.
His message to contemporary man is to
remain aware of the dangers of environmental disasters and political crises. He
also wishes to pass on the message to the audiences of the next millenniums.
Nadalian’s art focuses on the most
fundamental crises in contemporary world.
If there is any audiences in the future, his work will tell them
the story of life and humanity.

The story of this project began when the
people in Poloor started to excavate the place where
Nadalian carved images on the rocks. They hoped to find treasures.
According to a tradition in
the north of Iran the images of fish or snake can be a sign of treasure.
Nadalian never ignored that his works are a sign of treasure, when he
heard the story.
To him, treasure is not
valuable things from a material aspect, but rather an immortal value, which can
be art. He believes there is an eternal and timeless meaning beyond the physical
aspect of his works.
Nadalian uses this accident to produce new collection of works. He has started
to bury many of his carved stones in earth. His carvings show
living creatures such as human traces (hands or feet or goat, or ...) .
These are widespread in his homeland Iran (across the mythical
mountain of Damavand) and many other countries around the glob. Nadalian
given his carving to tourists who travel to different countries. They bury
his works on behalf of him. In many cases the process of burials have been recorded.
He is preparing the maps of burial
places (both manually and digitally) and keep them in a safe place.
He wishes to pass his message to the audiences of next millennium.

When Nadalian was in New York he preformed his hidden Treasure project in
Manhattan. This carved stone was buried in Manhattan central
park. The symbolic ray of light inspired by Statue of Liberty.
However this symbol originally rooted in Persian sun god Mithra.
I saw one fish man who wanted go to the sea hide his shoeless. This event
recall Nadalian Hidden
Treasure.
